How Vocaio handles data.

Overview
Vocaio collects and uses only the data needed to authenticate accounts, connect Spotify, sync study progress, send relevant notifications, and operate the app.
Data we collect
- Account data from Google, Apple, or email sign-in, including user ID, email, and display name.
- Spotify connection data, including access and refresh tokens stored on device for connected features.
- Study and profile data such as library tracks, learned words, completed songs, XP, language preferences, banner color, and Plus status.
- Device and notification data such as push tokens, platform information, and notification preferences.
- Content needed for the app to work, including song metadata, lyrics, translations, artwork URLs, and course status.
How we use data
- To sign you in and keep your session working across devices.
- To connect Spotify and support playback or library-related features.
- To sync your study progress and profile settings.
- To send song-ready or content-ready notifications when enabled.
- To keep the app reliable, secure, and responsive.
Where data is stored
Data may be stored locally on your device, in Firebase services, and in Vocaio backend services such as api.vocaio.io.
Your choices
- You can sign out from Settings.
- You can disconnect Spotify from the app.
- You can reset your study data from the app.
- You can delete your account from Settings -> My Data.
Third-party services
Vocaio uses third-party services to operate core features, including Firebase, Spotify, and Apple platform services.
